2017 CallisonRTKL Scholarship & Mentorship Experience

The mission of the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) is to support students studying in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising; therefore, PAVE has created the Student Scholarship Program to assist students with funds in covering basic needs. Over the past seven years, PAVE’s Scholarship Program has proudly granted over $150,000 to students.

The CallisonRTKL Scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the field of Interior Design and Architecture through a $1,500 scholarship* and the opportunity to attend the 2017 International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) in New Orleans September 5-8, 2017 as a guest of CallisonRTKL**

Guidelines

1. Student must be enrolled in a program working toward a degree in Interior Design or Architecture with a focus in the retail environments industry

2. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

3. Student must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.

4. Must be a United States Citizen.

The following items must be attached to your application form for your request to be considered:

Application Requirements:

1. Letter of Explanation: (Max. 600 words) Examples include

  • Identify what you feel are the most important issues facing the interior design and architectural design industry today and discuss. How your career will positively impact the industry’s future. Incorporate in your essay those character traits you possess that will propel your academic and future career success. Detail any challenges that you encountered in your educational career. (Essays should address all of the above topics for consideration by the PAVE Scholarship Committee.)

2. Project Folio of 6 pages minimum

  • Describe a retail related project (student based or professional) that you’ve worked on and that you are proud of (include supporting visuals).

3. One reference.

  • Can be a professor, faculty member or an employer (including internship supervisors), we will just need the contact information for your reference - references CANNOT be friends or family members.

4. Must include a copy of your transcript (official or un-official).

*Award sent directly to recipient’s institution (to be applied directly toward tuition or other applicable costs of schooling).
** Airfare, hotel and per diem covered.
