William J. McHenry Scholarship

The mission of the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) is to support students studying in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising; therefore, PAVE has created the Student Scholarship Program to assist students with funds to cover basic needs. In just seven years, PAVE’s Scholarship Program has proudly granted over $150,000 to students.

The William McHenry Scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the field of Visual Merchandising through a $1,250 award.

Created in 2015 by PAVE, this scholarship was established in memory of William J. McHenry. Bill began his career representing visual merchandising vendors, before founding his own company Elevations inc., in 1990 in San Francisco. Bill was passionate about product presentation and decor, but even more he was about connecting people and creating opportunities that helped them fulfill their dreams and potential.

In that spirit, the scholarship is awarded annually to students enrolled and studying Visual Merchandising in the state of California.
