2018 PAVE Bash raises $31,000 for student education

GlobalShop presence included annual fundraiser and Student Design Project

Hollywood, Fla. (April 11, 2018)—The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) once again continued to support and promote the future of retail at the 2018 GlobalShop show that took place from March 27–29, 2018, in Chicago, Ill. PAVE is an educational partnership for students in the retail environments industry and was founded to foster development in merchandising and retail design and planning.

PAVE's presence at GlobalShop included the PAVE Student Design Project, which showcased the best in student design. Clients presented real-life design problems to participating students who, in partnership with manufacturers, develop creative solutions. The best designs were chosen by participating companies, built by the manufacturers and displayed in a prominent exhibit at the GlobalShop trade show. The students who designed the winning entries attended the show to present their work in person.

This year's partners included teams made up of:

  • IVC, Dawson College and Target
  • S-Cube, Endicott College and The Body Shop
  • K.C. Store Fixtures, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and Chick-fil-A
  • Rocket Productions, Fashion Institute of Technology and PAVE

PAVE also continued the tradition of celebrating student education at the 4th Annual GlobalShop Opening Night Bash. The one-of-a-kind event was held at The Untitled Supper Club on Tuesday, March 27, from 8:30–11:30 p.m. Over 500 leaders within the retail industry attended the event, which raised over $30,000 for student education.
