2017 CallisonRTKL Scholarship & Mentorship Experience APPLICATION

The mission of the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) is to support students studying in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising; therefore, PAVE has created the Student Scholarship Program to assist students with funds in covering basic needs. In just seven years, PAVE’s Scholarship Program has proudly granted over $150,000 to students.

The CallisonRTKL Scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the field of Interior Design and Architecture through a $1,500 scholarship* and the opportunity to attend the 2017 International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) in New Orleans September 5-8, 2017 as a guest of CallisonRTKL

Guidelines

  1. Student must be enrolled in a program working toward a degree in Interior Design or Architecture with a focus in the retail environments industry.
  2. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
  3. Student must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
  4. Must be a United States Citizen.

Application Requirements

  1. 1. Letter of Explanation: (Max. 600 words) Possible talking points:
    • Describe your vision of future retail environments. Reference any current and future trends that will influence how customers interact with the retail environment, and how designers will drive this change through retail design.
    • How your career will positively impact the industry’s future. Incorporate in your essay those character traits you possess that will propel your academic and future career success.
    • Detail any changes that you encountered in your educational career.
  2. Project Folio of 6 pages minimum: (8.5" x 11")
    • Describe a retail related project (student based or professional) that you've worked on and that you are proud of (include supporting visuals).
  3. One Reference: Can be a professor or faculty member or an employer (including internship supervisors). Reference may not be friends or family members. Letter of recommendation is not needed the contact information of your reference
  4. Must include a copy of your transcript (official or unofficial)

To be considered for these funds, I understand that I must be enrolled as a student in a program for design or architecture. I am a full-time student enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours. The information I have provided and outlined in my letter is true. Any suspected fraud will be reported to the student’s educational institution.
